A FEW TIPS ON HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CHILD
1. Clothing - Choose outfits that are neat and comfortable. Solid colors or simple patterns work well. Avoid large logos or overly busy designs.
2. Hair - Make sure your child’s hair is clean and styled. If they have long hair, consider tying it back or using accessories that complement their outfit.
3. Accessories - Minimal accessories can enhance an outfit. Encourage your child to wear something special but not distracting.
4. Smile - Remind your child to practice their best smile! A natural smile will shine through in the photos.
5. Rest - Ensure they get a good night’s sleep. A well-rested child will feel more confident.

ABOUT ME
I’m Patrik, and for nearly 33 years I’ve specialized in professional photography. I’ve had the joy of working with children of every age — from infants and toddlers in daycares all the way through high school seniors and adults — always in a safe, positive, and respectful environment.
My Story
My journey into photography began when I was 18 years old in what was then Czechoslovakia, now the beautiful country of Slovakia. A good friend of mine once asked for my help carrying his equipment on photography jobs at daycares and schools. What started as a supportive role quickly turned into a true passion. With encouragement from our close friends, we have soon launched our own school photography company in 1993, in Bratislava, Slovakia. Over the next seven years, we expanded successfully and served schools across 15 cities.
In 2002, my wife and I made the life-changing decision to move to the United States. With little knowledge of English at first, I turned to teaching ballroom dancing — a longtime hobby of mine — as a way to learn the language and understand the new culture. This experience not only helped me adapt but also gave me the confidence and people skills to successfully reestablish my photography business here in the U.S.
Expertise You Can Trust
With over 33 years of professional photography experience, I proudly own and operate School Art Studio. I specialize in school photography and have had the pleasure of photographing children of all ages — from infants and toddlers, to elementary, middle school, and high school students. I also work with business professionals, creating polished portraits for their online presence and marketing needs. This extensive experience has taught me how to quickly connect with every child, helping them feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident in front of the camera — something parents and schools consistently appreciate.
A Safe and Positive Experience for Every Child
The safety, comfort, and well-being of every child is my absolute top priority. During every photoshoot, I create a calm, fun, and respectful environment where kids feel relaxed and can truly be themselves. I work closely with school staff, strictly follow all school safety protocols and parental consent guidelines, and handle every image with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. You and your school community can have complete peace of mind knowing that both the children and their photographs are safe with us.
Our Mission is Simple
One day we blink and our children are grown. Suddenly we’d give anything to go back and see them as little ones again — to hear their laughter and feel that special warmth they brought every day.
That’s why I’m so passionate about school photography. My mission is to capture your child’s true personality and natural smiles in a relaxed and comfortable setting, so these images become more than just photos. They become lasting memories that will fill your heart with that same warmth and love every time you look at them — today, when your children are grown, and for generations to come.

OUR PRIVACY PROTOCOL
As the owner of a small, locally owned school photography company based out of Stoneham, Ma, I take data privacy extremely seriously—because every family we serve is part of our own community. Here's why working with a smaller local provider like us is often safer and more reassuring:
Personal Accountability: When you partner with me, you're working directly with the owner who lives and operates in the same area. I personally oversee every step of the process—from the photo shoot to secure delivery of images. If any issue ever arises, you know exactly who to call (me), and I have a direct stake in protecting your school's reputation and your families' trust. Big national companies often have layers of corporate management, call centers, and outsourced teams, which can make accountability feel distant.
Simpler, Tighter Data Practices: We keep things straightforward and local. Student photos and contact information stay within a small, controlled system that I manage myself. We only collect what's necessary for the job, and store it securely. Nationwide chains, by contrast, often aggregate millions of student images across the country in large centralized databases. This creates a much bigger target for potential breaches or unauthorized access—and parents are increasingly wary of where their children's photos might end up long-term.
Community-First Approach: As a local business, our success depends entirely on the trust of families in your region. We don't sell or license student images for AI training, or third-party marketing. Everything is handled with full transparency and compliance with FERPA and other relevant privacy laws.
Faster Response and Customization: If a parent has a privacy question or concern, we can address it immediately and personally. Large corporations sometimes follow rigid national policies that don't always fit the unique needs of individual schools.
Many schools we work with, appreciate that parents feel more comfortable knowing their children's photos are in the hands of a trusted local professional rather than a distant corporation.
